I hand painted the graphics and lettering for this temporary sign for the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan. At the time I painted this sign, computer cut vinyl letters did not yet exist and the only way to create such a sign was to paint it by hand. Screen printing was not an economicaly viable option unless there were to be many copies of the sign.
