Glass Gilding

The detail from the FAO Schwarz logo is an example of 22 ct gold on glass with a mirror outline and a matte center. The Taqueria sign is white gold on glass with matte highlights to give the effect of a dimensional letter. Both use water size.

Surface Gilding

The Figures on the FAO Scwarz clock and the gilded ceiling are examples of surface gilding with oil size.
